Leann is one of my best friends.  All the years I have known her she has always wanted to get married on a mountain top just her and the man she would marry.  Then it happened, she met Nate.  They were inseparable and I knew it would not be long.  When she called to tell me that they decided to get married and she needed help with the plan I was thrilled!  She had three specifications, they wanted to get married on a mountain top just the two of them, they wanted Nate’s cousin to officiate, and they wanted me to shoot it.  Luckily, my finance is a helicopter pilot and he knew just the spot for this perfect wedding for our dear friends.  So we started to put the plan together.

We had the perfect number of people for a helicopter, we had the perfect day of weather, and all the details were more than Leann could have ever dreamed.  The day was PERFECT!  Leann must have said that 50 times that day.  I have never seen her so happy in my life.

Walking from the helicopter to the location the officiant, Nate’s cousin, told me that Nate had shared with him many years ago that when he got married he wanted to do it on a mountain top somewhere just him and her.  How did these two people find each other?  That is so amazing, or maybe I should say perfect.

We got to Sundance Helicopters where Weston flew us out to the Valley of Fire outside of Las Vegas.  The red rocks are a hidden gem.  Most people to to the Grand Canyon but the Valley of Fine is so stunning and the perfect spot for the elopement.  We were the only people for miles.  We landed and looked for the perfect rock to set up for the ceremony on and we found it!  The ceremony was full of fun and laughter, tears and sentiment.  It was PERFECT!

We got back in the helicopter, took a tour over the strip and on to The Red Rock where we took in the view and took some more pictures.  We flew back to base and followed all of it with a nice dinner.  It really was the perfect elopement.
