It’s no secret, we are in love with Sony

We love the team behind the product, the amazing mirrorless cameras, and their support that is unmatched. When I became a Sony Artisan, I was thrilled to be part of such an inspiring company. And when I started to share all the fantastic products with the team, they were excited to make the switch! But, the truth is, it can get expensive!

When purchasing in gear, regardless of the brand, thousands of dollars are invested. Selling that gear and switching can be a scary journey! The good news is, there is a solution!

The lens adapters that Sony offers are a great way start shooting with Sony, without having to do a lot of selling and buying all at once. I suggested this to my team as they all started the transition from Canon to Sony equipment. The Sony A73 makes it easy to sell your exsisting camera bodies and only have to spend a couple hundred dollars to pay the difference! This camera body is affordable and the quality is unmatched! After you switch your main camera, you can sell your lenses with no pressure and as you sell a lens, buy the Sony equivalent. This is also great if some of your second shooters shoot are still shooting on a different brand, and want to still share lenses!

However, I would not continue to shoot this way for 2 reasons.

1. The Sony lenses are amazing, sharp and incredible and nothing will beat the speed and sharpness of shooting on the Sony glass. I honestly couldn’t speak highly enough of the products!
2. The other brands are going to get harder to sell as more people switch to mirrorless companies such as Sony. So the sooner you sell, the better deal you will get for your current gear.

For those of you wanting to switch to Sony, check out my current gear bag and what I recommend purchasing! We will also be publishing more educational blogs about Sony right here in the next few weeks!

If you are not planning on switching to Sony but are in the market for Canon gear, we still have some gear we are selling and would love to hear from you!
